Senior Cloud Engineer - AI - XR

We specialize in creating solutions in AR, VR and AI, with some of our notable products such as Jio Glass, Jio Dive, 360 Streaming, Metaverse, AR/VR headsets for consumers and enterprise space.
About the Job
As a Cloud AI Engineer , you will design and implement AI and machine learning solutions in cloud environments. You will be responsible for integrating advanced AI models into cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency. You will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and Dev Ops teams to deliver intelligent cloud-based applications that support business objectives.
What You’ll Be Doing

AI Model Deployment and Optimization
- Design, develop, and deploy AI and machine learning models on cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Optimize models for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness in a cloud environment.
- Ensure efficient and secure handling of data pipelines that feed into AI models.

Cloud Architecture and Infrastructure
- Build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure to support AI workloads, including data processing, model training, and inference.
- Leverage cloud-native services (e.g., AWS Sage Maker, Google AI Platform, Azure ML) for the development and deployment of AI solutions.
- Design microservices and serverless architectures that support AI model serving.

Collaboration with Data Science and Engineering Teams
- Work closely with data scientists to understand model requirements and help translate them into scalable cloud solutions.
- Collaborate with Dev Ops and engineering teams to integrate AI models into production applications and services.
- Ensure smooth handoff from development to production, managing the lifecycle of AI models, including testing, versioning, and updating.

Model Monitoring and Maintenance
- Implement monitoring and alerting systems to track the performance of AI models in production, including model drift and performance degradation.
- Develop automated retraining and updating processes for models as new data becomes available.
- Implement strategies to handle model lifecycle management, including versioning, auditing, and rollback.

Automation and CI/CD for AI Workflows
- Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines for AI and machine learning model deployments.
- Automate testing, training, and deployment workflows to streamline the AI development process
- Ensure reliable, continuous integration and delivery of new models to cloud environments.

Security and Compliance
- Ensure AI solutions comply with cloud security best practices, including data encryption, identity, and access management (IAM), and secure APIs.
- Implement privacy-preserving techniques when handling sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Perform regular audits of cloud AI infrastructure to identify and mitigate risks.

Research and Innovation
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in AI, machine learning, and cloud technologies.
- Explore and implement cutting-edge AI solutions such as deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and reinforcement learning in cloud environments.
- Conduct research and proof-of-concept (Po C) projects to evaluate the feasibility of new AI models and cloud services.
What We Need To See
- The ideal candidate has experience in both AI/ML and cloud technologies and is proficient in deploying AI models in production environments.
- Proficiency in Backend Development o Strong experience with backend programming languages such as Node.js, Python, or Java Script o Expertise in working with frameworks such as Nest JS, Express.js, or Django.
- Microservices Architecture o Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
- Knowledge of service discovery, API gateways, and distributed tracing.
- API Development o Proficiency in designing, building, and maintaining RESTful and Graph QL APIs.
- Experience with API security, rate limiting, and authentication mechanisms (e.g., JWT, OAuth).

Database Management
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Postgre SQL, My SQL) and No SQL databases (e.g. Mongo DB).
- Experience in database schema design, optimization, and management.

Cloud Services
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure,AWS or Google Cloud.
- AI and Machine Learning Integration o Experience integrating AI and ML models into backend services.
- Familiarity with using AI/ML libraries and frameworks (e.g., Tensor Flow, Py Torch, Scikit-learn).
