Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces regularly.
- Ensure all dishware, glassware, and cutlery are cleaned and stored properly.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen, including floors, counters, and storage areas
- Dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and empty trash bins regularly to maintain a clean environment.
- Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables and portioning ingredients.
- Ensure all necessary supplies are stocked and readily available for kitchen staff.
- Transport supplies and ingredients between storage areas and the kitchen as needed
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of kitchen equipment, such as dishwashers and ovens.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or damage to the supervisor promptly.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and cleaning techniques.
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and proactive.
- Physically fit and able to handle cleaning and lifting tasks.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
