Job Summary:
The CSR & Community Development Manager at PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk will be a strategic leader responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive corporate social responsibility programs that align with the company’s mission, values, and brand image. This role will oversee CSR initiatives across all sites and subsidiaries, driving sustainable community development and enhancing stakeholder engagement to create long-term social impact.
This role aims to elevate the company’s commitment to social responsibility through the development and implementation of strategic programs that address critical community needs, promote environmental sustainability, and drive economic development. This role will strategically engage with local communities, government entities, and stakeholders to ensure that CSR practices not only reflect best practices but also create measurable social impact and support the company's long-term business goals.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in corporate social responsibility, community development, or sustainability, with strategic leadership experience. They will possess exceptional analytical, and strategic leadership experience, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders. The candidate should exhibit a strong commitment to social impact and possess strategic thinking abilities to drive initiatives that align with the company’s brand image and operational strategies., with a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. A strong strategic mindset, coupled with a passion for social impact, will be essential for driving innovative and effective CSR initiatives.
Responsibilities:

• Design and monitor the PPM/CSR program based on social mapping, liaise with site teams and external stakeholders, handle grievances, provide regular reports, and collaborate with ESDM on performance reporting and stakeholder engagement, with frequent site visits.
• Design and implement innovative CSR programs that focus on community development in education, health, and economic empowerment, ensuring alignment with the company's brand image.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CSR principles into business operations, fostering a culture of corporate responsibility throughout the organization.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with local communities, government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to identify needs, opportunities, and collaborative solutions.
• Develop metrics and frameworks to assess the effectiveness and impact of CSR programs, utilizing data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and enhance program outcomes.
• Position the company as a leader in CSR by ensuring participation in relevant awards and rankings, enhancing the company's public image and stakeholder trust.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed CSR principles into business operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.
• Lead and mentor a dedicated CSR team, promoting collaboration, innovation, and accountability in the execution of CSR initiatives.
• Serve as the company’s spokesperson at CSR-related events, conferences, and forums to advocate for social responsibility and promote the company's commitment to community development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 8 years of experience managing CSR programs, particularly within the Mining Industry. It would be beneficial to have a good network within ESDM.
• Strong understanding of CSR best practices, community development frameworks, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
• Exceptional analytical skills, and proven ability to leverage data for decision-making and strategic planning.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a capacity to engage and influence diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to manage multiple high-impact projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with relevant legislation, standards, and frameworks related to corporate social responsibility and sustainability.
