- Key Responsibilities:
- Transform design ideas and concepts into products that resonate with customer preferences.
- Understand manual pattern-making and pattern drafting techniques.
- Interpret and translate design blueprints and models accurately.
- Evaluate the latest fashion trends, pattern purchases, and target market demographics.
- Plan structured production processes to meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with fashion designers, suppliers, and distributors to negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and desired quality.
- Manage and analyze purchase order (PO) data for informed decision-making.
- Oversee production budgets to maintain costs within pre-determined limits.
- Prepare financial reports on production costs and other related expenses.
- Requirements:
- A proven background in fashion merchandising or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of pattern-making and technical design processes.
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and external partners.
- A keen eye for market trends and consumer behavior.
- Strong organizational and budgeting skills.
- Experience in creating and interpreting financial reports.
