Freight Forwarding - Business Development Partner (Batam)

We are seeking experienced and hardworking Business Development Partner to join our team to grow the company's market share in Indonesia.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a service-oriented environment and will be capable of generating new business and working with clients directly. The right candidate will recognise and seize new opportunities when they present themselves, and will have the ability to conduct successful meetings with prospective clients.

Experience:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a service-oriented environment and will be capable of generating new business and working with clients directly. The right candidate will recognise and seize new opportunities when they present themselves, and will have the ability to conduct successful meetings with prospective clients.
Responsibilities:
- To dedicate 90% of time to business development, prospect new customers, and convert a minimum of 16 leads to prospects each month.
- To research the country’s logistics and supply chain landscape, monitor competitor activities, and develop a strategic business plan to seize market opportunities to drive growth in sectors such as 3PL, Manufacturing, Aviation, Biotech, Automotive, Cold Chain, and Energy.
- To execute marketing campaigns that maximize sales targets, develop new products, and expand proven solutions to new branches.
- To leverage HQ product lines, develop complementary offerings, and create additional revenue streams.
- To secure business revenue at 1.5 times the annual operating expenses within the first 12 months.
- To foster trade lane development, build networks, and grow partnerships with overseas agents.
- To set OKRs and KPIs to measure success and achieve quarterly and annual targets for revenue, profit, and market share, aligning efforts with HQ marketing for regional brand consistency.
- To enhance coordination between Sales and Operations, ensuring a high-quality customer experience and problem resolution.
- To support customer freight operations and provide 24/7 Control Tower coverage for urgent, time-sensitive shipments including selecting carrier, negotiating cost reductions, preparing documentations and monitoring shipments.
- To report on sales pipeline biweekly and perform any additional duties as assigned by the Director.
