About the role
As General Manager - Indonesia, you will be the driving force behind Liven’s market expansion in Indonesia. Working closely with the Founder of Liven Asia, you will shape and implement strategies to establish Liven as a leader and disruptor in Indonesia’s retail and hospitality tech industry. This role calls for a proactive, autonomous leader who can take ownership of business growth, build lasting relationships, and foster a high-performance culture within the team.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve ambitious revenue targets and establish market dominance.
- Identify growth opportunities across Indonesia, capitalizing on market needs and trends to drive Liven’s expansion.
- Build strong, lasting connections with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders, fostering a culture of collaboration and trust.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing sales team, focusing on building a strong, cohesive, and results-driven culture.
- Take a hands-on approach to daily operations, from overseeing sales processes to ensuring smooth team operations.
- Use your background in product or Saa S sales to strategically position Liven’s solutions and maximize market share.
- Lead contract negotiations, closing deals to boost revenue and secure long-term partnerships.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs to make data-driven decisions.
- Align with Liven’s global teams, working alongside Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to execute and support local initiatives.
- Direct oversight of Sales and Marketing teams in Indonesia, ensuring alignment with company goals and successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in product or Saa S sales with a successful track record in market expansion, business development, and revenue generation.
- Self-driven with a demonstrated ability to independently take initiative, make sound decisions, and drive results.
- Skilled at developing rapport and fostering productive relationships with clients, team members, and partners.
- Willingness to engage directly in the operational aspects of the role, with a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on execution.
- High emotional intelligence to manage, motivate, and support a growing team while establishing a positive and driven team culture.
- In-depth understanding of the Indonesian market, ideally with experience in payments, hardware, or a similar industry.
- Strong ability to articulate complex concepts and value propositions clearly and persuasively.
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Good to Have
- Experience in a startup or scale-up, with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities that come with rapid growth.
- A hands-on approach with operational experience, capable of overseeing sales processes, tracking performance metrics, and implementing systems that streamline workflows.
- Familiarity with product-led sales strategies, using product value and customer feedback to inform and drive sales approaches and business development.
