Santa Emilia, a boutique hotel nestled in the historic town of Mondoñedo, specializes in hosting high-profile guests. Due to our selective clientele, hotel occupancy is typically low. As a result, we are seeking a Maintenance, Gardening, and Domestic Helper to not only manage the basic upkeep of the hotel but also assist with the household needs of the family.
We are looking for a flexible, trustworthy, and adaptable individual who is eager to commit to a long-term relationship with Santa Emilia and the family. The role requires a proactive person who can manage varied tasks and grow within the position.
Main Responsibilities:
Basic Maintenance Duties:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including basic repairs (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.).
• Ensure the hotel's facilities and equipment are kept in good working order (basic tasks only).
• Assist with minor construction or repair projects for both the hotel and the family’s property.

Gardening Duties:

• Care for and maintain the hotel and family gardens, including pruning, watering, and general landscaping.
• Plant, replant, and maintain greenery to ensure the property remains aesthetically pleasing.
• Properly use and maintain gardening tools and equipment.

Domestic Duties:

• Cook simple meals for the family and, occasionally, for staff or small events.
• Wash and iron clothes, ensuring all garments are well-maintained.
• Clean and organize common areas in both the hotel and the family home.
• Assist with room cleaning and preparation as needed.

Candidate Profile:

• Highly flexible and capable of adapting to a range of tasks and responsibilities as required.
• Adaptable and quick to learn, with a willingness to take on various duties.
• Ability to develop a trusting, long-term relationship with the family and the Santa Emilia team.
• Previous experience in similar roles (maintenance, gardening, domestic help) is highly valued.
• Available and committed to maintaining high standards of service, balancing both hotel and family needs, while always respecting the 40-hour weekly schedule.

Salary and Benefits:

• €1,470 gross per month, based on the 14 annual payments divided over 12 months.
• Total annual gross salary of €17,640.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of general maintenance tasks (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.).
• Experience in gardening and handling relevant tools.
• Ability to cook and manage various household chores.
• Legal eligibility to work in Spain (work visa can be processed if necessary).
• Konowledge of English
• Knowledge of Spanish is a plus but not mandatory, if willing to learn.
