Painting Supervisor

- Ensure client verification and contractor inspection and coating manufacturer representative inspection of applied corrosion protection system – inclusive of protective coating, thermal spray coatings.
- Verify contractor’s compliance with design drawings, specifications, procedures and inspection and test plans.
- Review coating specification and identify omissions and clarification.
- Test and approve blaster & paint applicators and inspectors in accordance with client specification.
- Formulate quality control training program as required.
- Ensure yard compile full and accurate reports of all coating activities.
- Resolve contractor’s technical queries concurrence from structural and engineering site leads.
- Understand the project schedule and be protective in assessing where activities could impact the planed progress advising.
- Develop and review coating procedure and inspection test plan
- Familiarize self with design drawings, specification, applicable codes, standards and practices and project quality plan.
- Actively support coordination / progress meeting with agenda to facilitate meeting execution.
- Oversee the preparation, tracking and completion of contractor’s coating punch list.
- Document and communicate Lessons Learned in all above responsibilities.
- Ensure all coating materials are stored in accordance with specification & procedures (MSDS is displayed where necessary) and all waste products are disposed of safely & correctly.
