Sales Engineer (Crane)

Position Summary

Achieve Order Received, Gross Margin and Collection as budgeted for products under his/her assignment in his/her area and get the best term and condition of sales based on the company authority policy.


Responsibilities


  • Achieve the annual budgeted orders
  • Achieve the yearly GOAL (KPI) especially the individual goals
  • Identify, visit and call potential customers to broaden the customer base to create company values
  • Maintain close relationship with existing customers
  • Cover the area that being assigned including outstation area
  • Follows company’s QMS and MIS
  • Make daily activities report in the system (C4C)
  • Create opportunities and monitor closely in C4C
  • Prepare quotations with number from C4C
  • Monitor competitors’ activities and report it to sales manager / division manager
  • Monitor and support his/her project execution until collection is completed
  • Attend weekly sales meeting arranged by sales manager / division manager
  • Make a cost calculation for every project and Project Specification Sheet (PSS)
  • Work together with project engineer to get General Arrangement drawing signed by customer
  • Work closely with sales manager to optimize the specification, delivery time, term of payment and closing deal tactics
  • Ensure a timely and fruitful process of kick-off Meeting with project team
  • Ensure the order received has clear scope of supply with term and condition follows company policy
  • Other tasks are directed by Sales Manager / General Manager



Required qualifications


Responsibilities:
  • Execute the entire selling process of identifying customers through sales leads, cold calls, etc. and creating demand and capturing orders by building relationships and formulating product solutions and specifications based on customers' needs so as to ensure the meeting of sales quota and contribution towards sales revenue.
  • Prepare quotations and tenders, negotiate terms and check all commercial terms of offer and order of acceptance so as to ensure compliance with Levels of Authority and other relevant MIS policies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of Project Specification Sheets (PSS) for each sales order in order to facilitate effective kick-off handover to Project Department in a clear and timely manner.
  • Monitor and follow up with on-going orders to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of goods to customers based on customers' requirements and specifications.
  • Actively use the Customer Relationship Management tool in monitoring, analysis and communicating monthly sales data in daily work to manage personal targets and contribute to product and service planning.
  • Keep abreast of new updates of products and services, competitors' activities as well as updating promotional and sales materials so as to better identify and target potential customers.
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events (as and when required) and do sales presentations on products to support marketing efforts at targeted potential customers.
  • Establish and maintain long-term customer satisfaction by way of periodic visits to customers to monitor performance of delivered products and services.
  • Conduct periodic monitoring of accounts receivables and coordinate with Finance Department to ensure timely invoicing and follow up with customers (whenever required) to ensure prompt collection of overdue debts.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in any major
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ working experience in equipment sales or related field
  • Strong network in the industrial area, especially in crane or material handling industry. (Jakarta, Bekasi, Cikarang, Karawang) Area
  • Competent reporting skills using CRM system (SAP)
  • Competent basic product knowledge of overhead crane and similar product
  • Competent interpersonal and negotiation skill
  • Competent to use Microsoft office
  • Basic English communication skill
