The role also involves maintaining cleanliness, supporting the team, and upholding the high standards of the collective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service:
- Greet guests warmly and present menus.
- Provide detailed information on menu items, answer questions, and make recommendations.
- Take guest orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by checking on guests regularly and addressing any concerns.
- Assist guests with special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Order Management:
- Efficiently manage order processing using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders.
- Double-check orders for accuracy and quality before serving.
- Cleanliness and Organization:
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including table settings.
- Set up and break down tables before and after service.
- Assist with restocking items, such as napkins, utensils, and condiments.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to ensure smooth service flow.
- Assist in training new staff members when necessary.
- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including hygiene standards.
- Ensure food handling and serving procedures are compliant with local regulations.
- Additional Duties:
- Assist with special events, catering, or private dining services.
- Participate in regular staff meetings and training sessions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
- Prior experience as a server or in a customer service role in hospitality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage, including dietary requirements.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Education:
- SMA/SMU/SMK (Preferred)
- Restaurant/Banquet Server: 1 year (Preferred)
