Accounts Receivable Associate / HR Administrator

Rochestown Park Hotel is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate / HR Administrator on a part time basis
The role will be on site & office based.
Days of Work (Fixed) - Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
Hours of Work (Fixed) 9am - 5.30pm
The successful candidate's role will form an integral part of both the Finance & HR function of the Hotel and will work alongside the Financial Accountant and other areas of the Accounts Team as well as the HR Manager.
Key Duties:
Accounts
Responsibility for monitoring and maintaining the debtor ledger, specific tasks include, but not limited to the following:
  • Issuing accurate invoices to customers with credit facilities on a timely manner.
  • Recording payments received on customer accounts.
  • Liaising with customers in relation to any queries they may have.
  • Communicating with other departments to ensure the swift resolution of customer queries.
  • Issue monthly statements to customers and follow up to ensure payments are received within agreed credit limits.
  • Preparation of Aged Debtor Reports and report on same to Financial Controller on a monthly basis.
  • Complete all trade references and checks on new credit applications.
  • Dealing with queries from hotel guests in relation to charges and invoice queries.
  • Completion of the daily income audit and maintenance of internal control systems highlighting any issues to the relevant departments.
  • Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with other members of the finance team as well as all other hotel departments.
  • Assist with the other functions of the accounts department as and when required.
HR Admin
Responsibility for administration tasks pertaining to the recruitment process & on - boarding of new employees.
Other areas of involvement will include Company Induction & Training
Candidate Requirements;
A background in Accounting / Book Keeping Essential
Previous experience in a similar role essential. (Preferably within the hotel industry)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, and Excel required. Previous experience with hotel systems including Opera and Micros R&A an advantage.
A knowledge of and a willingness to assist in all Accounting & HR functions as assigned.
Flexibility around working hours during peak periods e.g. month end and holiday season also required
