Lambert Surveyors is an ambitious Chartered Quantity Surveying practice based in Kildare Town.
The practice has extensive experience working across a variety of project types and scale, providing a wide range of services. Lambert Surveyors have successfully managed a multitude of projects over the past 11 years, with clients ranging from; tier 1 Main Contractors, Department of Education, HSE, Property Developers, Commercial and Retail Clients, High-end Private Residences, and a variety of other Public and Private Clients.
The company consists of two directors, two senior Quantity Surveyors and an office manager. We now have a requirement for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to strengthen our team.
Job detail:
Job title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Kildare Town, Co. Kildare, Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend site meetings and conduct site visits as required.
Measure Bills of Quantities in ARM4 standard.
Compile Schedule of Rates or Builder’s Bills.
Prepare high-level Budget Estimates.
Compile Sub-Contractor packages and obtain specialist quotes.
Prepare Tender Documentation and Report on Tenders.
Prepare and assess monthly Valuations.
Prepare Monthly Cost Reports.
Individual Specification:
Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying
Experience: Minimum of 2 -3 years in a QS environment (Preferably PQS).
Communication Skills: Strong English written and verbal communication skills with clarity in delivery.
Technical Skill: Good understanding and knowledge of ARM4. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with MS Excel. Experience with Cubit or other estimating software.
Analytical Skill: Excellent analytical skill and experience working with various design packages (Architectural, Civil, Structural, Mechanical & Electrical)
Organisational Skill: Ability to manage information and documents in an orderly manner. Attention to detail. Ability to manage time affectively and prioritise tasks.
Self-Starter: Ability to take ownership and responsibility of allocated tasks.
Teamwork: Strong capability to work with different members of the team, including Senior Management.
Independence: Competence in working both independently and as part of an internal and/or external team.
Continuous Learning: Willingness to attend training and develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills
Permission to work: Must have permission to work in Ireland.
Transport: Must hold a valid driver’s license and car to attend Site Visits.

Salary: €45,000 per annum
Bonus: An annual bonus is normally paid out depending on candidate and company performance at the discretion of the directors.
