Associate Director/Director - Transport Planning

We have a role that could be the perfect opportunity, which is leading our Transport Planning offer in Ireland, based in Dublin, and working with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.
Your new role
As Associate Director/Director Transport Planning, you will be responsible for leading transport planning technical and financial related inputs. You will maintain relationships on various transport planning and infrastructure related projects led by this department or projects led by other multi-disciplinary departments for existing and new clients.
Your key responsibilities will be:
  • Maintaining existing client relationships
  • Developing new client relationships
  • Bidding and preparation of technical and financial offers
  • Leading and preparing various reports and technical assessments
  • Liaising with various transport planning teams in our wider Ramboll family on project and business development matters
  • Staff mentoring and supervision of work undertaken
  • Technical expertise input into projects that include public transport (bus based an advantage) and or active travel and or modelling
The team
You will be part of the wider Transport Planning team and the wider Transport division. Ramboll’s 3,000 transport specialists work together with authorities, private contractors, and cities to develop holistic mobility solutions. From Aviation to Bridges and Tunnels to Rail, we aim to ensure that people and goods can move in the most effective and sustainable way possible. Our increasing focus on Smart Mobility (transport planning) approaches the challenge of mobility by integrating urban planning with all modes of transport and digitalisation. The team itself is lively, passionate, and supportive, exhibiting high levels of collaboration and engagement with one another, often celebrating project milestones or life events like birthdays.

These include:
  • Strong demonstrable experience in transport planning
  • Personable with excellent written, numerical and communication skills (in English)
  • An appropriate transport planning qualification or accreditation (MSc/MA, CIHT, CMILT etc)
  • Have an established network of contacts in the Irish Transport Planning market
  • Technical know how in areas of transport planning
