*Information Technology Internship open to Atlantic Technology University Students in Donegal.
Electro Route is seeking an enthusiastic, solutions-driven intern to work in the Information Technology Team . This role will provide the intern with a unique opportunity to be part of a growing team that is focused on supporting our trading energy businesses

• The successful candidate will assist in development and support activities, and relevant project work to improve IT systems. Tools will be developed in Python and Power Shell, so programming experience is essential.

• Our production infrastructure is entirely based in AWS cloud – some understanding of and experience with the public cloud would be an advantage

• The role will involve extensive collaboration across the IT team

The successful candidate will get a great insight into the real time activity in an energy trading company and will learn from being part of this unique environment.

The successful candidate will receive training and performance development as part of the internship.


The Successful Candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:

• Programming experience (Python or Power Shell)

• Experience with databases (e.g., My SQL, SQL Server, SQL)

• Excellent numeric and analytical ability and strong attention to detail

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills including strong written and oral communication skills

• Ability to work independently on own initiative, using good judgement and discretion

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and to prioritize work in pursuit of deadlines

Flexible and eager to learn material in new fields and develop new work practices

• 
  

In addition, the following would be an advantage:
Knowledge of the energy, electricity, or other commodity sectors

Location
The role will be based in Co-Lab, Letterkenny, Co Donegal .


Remuneration
Paid internship commencing in January 2025 .


Hybrid Policy
Hybrid working (minimum of 3 days onsite).
