Automation Engineer - Medical Device

This long term position can be facilitated as either a full time staff position or as a contractor.
What you'll do:
- Debug, backup, understand, support and test software for all equipment in the plant, including Automated systems. Providing technical leadership on all equipment issues (software analysis).
- Ensure that all the software and hardware is present inhouse to support all software systems on the floor.
- Carry out structured problem solving.
- Understand system and implement documentation to give other easy instructions on the software structure, allowing easy navigation of the systems.
- Work with teams driving technology process innovation with emphasis on improving quality, reducing cost, improving reliability, and developing state of the art automated and semi-automated systems.
- Provision of training & support for the Process / maintenance Technicians and other Manufacturing / Equipment Engineers on the team.
- Research new technology and industry best practices applying knowledge gained to existing processes and the future state automation roadmap
- Actively interfacing with cross-functional team members and 3rd party Vendors, and always practicing good teamwork in support of the day-to-day operating requirements, and in pursuit of achieving the business targets
- Observing the Quality Management Systems requirements on site at all times
- Adherence to, and enforcement of all Environment Health and Safety (EHS) requirements on site
- Competent in software systems such as Siemens, Allen Bradley.
- 2 years experience on site
- Experience with ABB and Fanuc robots an advantage but not critical

Pay: €45,015.47-€100,000.00 per year
