BER Assessor / PV Surveyor – Solar Generation
Job Description:
Solar Generation is looking to recruit a BER Assessor / PV Surveyor to join our expanding team. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a customer-facing, professional surveyor with proven experience in the energy sector. The candidate will be based in the North West, conducting 5-6 site visits per day. This dual-role opportunity is ideal for professionals interested in shaping Ireland’s solar energy landscape by conducting energy assessments and site surveys for solar PV systems.
As a BER Assessor, you will prepare post-PV installation Building Energy Rating (BER) assessments, which will be uploaded to the SEAI system. As a PV Surveyor, you will visit customers, conduct site assessments, and assess suitability for a solar system.
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct post-PV installation BER assessments and upload the results to the SEAI system.
• Perform 5-6 site visits per day to assess customer properties for solar PV installations.
• Measuring roof dimensions (including internal, external, or loft spaces).
• Identify potential obstructions and take photos of key areas.
• Consider cable runs between panels, inverters, batteries, and the home’s electrical supply.
• Discuss potential locations for solar equipment with customers.
• Prepare detailed reports and highlighting any issues or concerns.
• Provide energy-saving advice and ensure a smooth, customer-focused experience.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure successful project completion.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Full, clean Irish driving license (essential).
• Customer service experience (essential).
• Minimum of two years' experience as a BER Assessor.
• Completion of QQI Level 6 course in BER Rating of Dwellings.
• Registered or eligible for registration with the SEAI as a BER Assessor.
• Experience with renewable energy systems (desirable).
• Experience in Solar PV & Storage systems (desirable).
• Familiarity with DEAP 4.2 software and Irish building regulations.
• Recently qualified as a Building Energy Assessor (required).
• Strong verbal, written, and customer engagement skills.
• Ability to manage high workloads and complete accurate reports within deadlines.

Pay: €45,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
