Job Description
Background:
At a student accommodation in Cork, managed by Mezzino Student Living we are looking for a Building Maintenance Manager.
Main responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Property Manager and company Facilities Manager, this is a very hands-on role for an all-round 'handy person'. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the overall safety, presentation and good repair of the premises and all residents during their working hours.
Duties will include:

• Providing General Maintenance within the building and its grounds
• To notify the General Manager should a maintenance problem require further attention and/or external contractors
• Ensure that a safe and secure environment for residents, staff and visitors is maintained;
• Undertake and complete weekly/monthly compliance tasks and record the results on our online system
• Ensuring that all resident requests are dealt with in a professional and efficient manner
• Ensuring the public areas are kept clean & tidy
• Undertaking all tasks allocated by the General Manager, the front desk team and company Facilities manager

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a maintenance department or working as a general handyperson
• High personal standards
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent customer service skills, and the ability to communicate with both coworkers and our (mostly) young adult customers in a professional manner
• Knowledge of maintenance trade(s) (e.g. basic carpentry, plumbing, electrics, painting) would be essential
• Flexibility to work very occasional weekends / extra hours as needed

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €28,000.00-€33,000.00 per year
Additional pay:

• Yearly bonus
