CAD Technician

Vertiv manufactures the most compact type tested Powerboard Low Voltage (LV) Switchgear assemblies on the market. Our team in Burnfoot, Ireland have set the standard for electrical switchgear. We use intuitive electrical design software to create single source low voltage switchgear solutions that enable our clients to take a fully integrated approach to their power distribution.
Our success is creating huge growth in Ireland and we are now searching for an experienced CAD Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Estimating Manager & Estimating Team Lead this position will present an excellent opportunity and will involve working closely with the estimating team to produce drawings to support our wider offer to the sales team and clients. Y our role will specifically involve the preparation and coordination of manufacturing drawings pertaining to Switchgear manufacture and installation.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:

The candidate must have an academic qualification related to the post in either REVIT or 3D CAD or equivalent.
Work experience in a 3D package such as Auto CAD, both 2D and 3D, BIM 360 and REVIT
Knowledge of Engineering Drawing Standards
A sound understanding of manufacturing processes.
Attention to detail and accuracy
A team player

And ideally…

Previous experience within a Manufacturing / Electrical engineering environment
Working experience of BIM/Revit software
