CSSD Operative 27.5 hpw Specific Purpose Contract

We are inviting applications for the position of CSSD Technician working as part of a team. In summary, you will be required to assist in the Decontamination of Re-usable Invasive Medical Devices (RIMD’s) for use in all clinical areas and other areas designated by the hospital.

The following are desirable but not essential requirements for the post as training will be provided:
Experience of theatre/ infection control
A certified technicians course in sterile services is desirable but not essential
Computer skills / data input
Availability to work across a 6 and possibly a 7 day rota
Strong interpersonal, telephone and organisations skills with an ability to act on one’s own initiative
Ability to work as part of a team dedicated to providing a quality service.

A proactive team player approach with the ability to multi task and work on their own initiative while working to tight deadlines

Excellent communication and people skills
High degree of flexibility

Must be willing to undergo training to decontamination education to a level 6
