Job Description
Key deliverables applicable to this role:
- Proficiency in conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling.
- Experience with entity-relationship diagrams, data flow diagrams, and other modelling techniques.
- Expertise in various database management systems (e.g., relational, No SQL).
- Understanding of database architecture, indexing, and query optimization.
- Experience in integrating data from disparate sources.
- Knowledge of data security principles and best practices.
- Understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices.
- Ensuring compliance with data regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Implementing access controls, encryption, and data masking techniques.
- Experience in implementing master data management solutions.
Qualifications
The following experience, competencies and skillsets are applicable to this role:
- Understanding of data architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
- Applying architecture principles to design scalable and flexible data architectures.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with cloud-based data services (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google Big Query).
- Designing data architectures for cloud environments.
- Managing metadata to provide context and lineage for data assets.
- Understanding of business intelligence concepts and tools.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams for data-driven decision making.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
