Day Porters
The Arlington Hotel are seeking a Day Porter to join our growing team at the Hotel. We are currently considering both full and part time candidates for these roles and no previous experience is required, once you have an open mind and willingness to learn. Day time

Objective of the Role
To assist the Manager throughout the shift in relation to hotel and guest security, reception duties as well as maintaining the agreed standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel. Setting up of function rooms for meetings and events
Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for cleaning other areas as directed by manager on duty and also as per daily checklists which will include set up of function rooms, breakfast area etc.
  • Responsible for the cleaning of areas in the hotel including function and public spaces.
  • Respond to safety and security issues.
  • To ensure all corridors are clear from trays and debris, collecting any breakfast cards for room service in the morning.
Requirements:
  • The ideal candidate will have experience of working in hospitality but training is available for persons with no experience also.
  • The ability to work on their own initiative, as well as being capable of working as part of a team.
  • A warm, friendly and approachable personality when dealing with fellow staff and guests.
  • Flexibility on shifts to include weekends.
