Donor Care Executive, Fundraising, Dublin

The purpose of this role is to support Focus Ireland’s mission to prevent and address homelessness by engaging with public supporters. As a Donor Care Executive, you will enhance donor loyalty and improve supporter experiences, managing donor interactions to encourage ongoing support. This role involves handling donor administration, improving donor experiences, and reporting on donor activity across various channels. You will also maintain data quality, enhance automation, and optimise donor journeys while building strong internal and external relationships. Opportunities for training and development will be provided to ensure continuous improvement and effective donor engagement.
What you will do:
Work with the Donor Care Manager and wider team to devise and implement best practice thanking, banking and second gift enhancing systems across all donor touch points.
Be the first point of contact for our donors and supporters, providing the best experience possible while managing, maintaining and building relationships with supporters to achieve best results for retention.
With the wider team, identify trends of donor communications and plan approaches to systemize, automate or manage responses in an efficient and effective manner.
Coordinate the production of letters, packs and key information communications to all donors and will assist with our telemarketing activities to thank donors and develop key relationships.
Support the delivery of an annual calendar of supporter engagement events and activities.
Undertake donor care administration and financial processes to achieve KPIs for turnaround in donor acknowledgement and financial compliance.
Assist with in-bound communications and donations, ensuring accurate recording and systems entry.
Continuously spot opportunities, problem solve, collaborate and flag issues for correction to the team.
Reconcile key donation activity on the CRM in collaboration with Finance.
Ensure the delivery of accurate data input to our CRM system (MS Dynamics) to facilitate record keeping, communications and relationship development.
Carry out regular data cleansing checks as part of routine tasks.
Follow all legislation and best practice with regard to data protection.
What you will need:
High level of proficiency in written and spoken English with an excellent phone manner is a requirement.
A positive “can-do” donor centric/customer orientated approach to their work.
Excellent communication skills and ability to build good rapport with supporters.
A self-starter with the ability to learn detailed processes and problem solve, creating efficiencies and cost savings when possible.
Experience of using databases and/or CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics an advantage).
Strong administrative experience and attention to detail.
Experience of rolling out communications (oral and written).
Strong command of MS Office, including Word and Excel, is essential.
Experience of using Microsoft Dynamics CRM an advantage (desirable).
Knowledge of GDPR (desirable).
Experience with donation processes for repeat / regular giving, including of DD SEPA (desirable).
An understanding of payments process for single and recurring gifts via online platforms including Pay Pal, Realex and other 3rd party giving platforms (desirable).
Knowledge of donor giving behaviour online (desirable).
Experience of financial reconciliation (desirable).
