We have a rare opportunity to hire an Early Years & After School Manager to lead our exciting new service in Deansgrange - The Early Years Academy! The Early Years Academy is the newest service from Kim Mc Carthy who founded Simbas Childcare which has over 25 years delivering high quality childcare in the Blackrock area. We are looking for the right candidate to join our team.
The right candidate will have a minimum of Level 7 Early Years Education qualification recognised by DCEDIY, at least 5 years childcare experience and preferably 3 years in management . The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood & school age education, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to ensure a high standard of care and compliance with all childcare regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Build strong partnerships with parents and families;
• Be the named “Person In Charge” as part of EYA's Tusla Registration;
• Manage the team and support them to perform their roles
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for the children
• Manage EYA's child management system including all reporting and documentation requirements of the Child Care Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulation 2016;
• Maintain and update all policies, procedures and standards in line with current and evolving requirements;
• Run the day to day operations of the service.

Requirements from Candidates :

• Minimum QQI Level 7 in Early Years Education.
• A minimum of 5 years in the childcare sector and at least 3 in management.
• Excellent leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills
• Demonstrable success in staff retention, staff development and training
• Manage Core Funding liaising with Registered Provider
• Excellent attention to detail and an ability to manage the running of the service and staff as well as the ability to implement quality Early Childhood curriculum and creative skills to develop age appropriate activities will be of the utmost importance in this position.
• Full knowledge of Preschool Regulations 2016 and requirements of maintaining fully compliant Preschool Inspections with Tusla.

You must also have:

• Clear Garda Vetting (and International police clearance if having lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months) is required.
• Two written references, one from your most recent employer, that will be verified.
• Available to work between operating hours 8:00am - 6:00pm

Pay: €50,000 - €55,000 depending on experience
