The Role:
Working under the direction the Irish Examiner's Farming Editor, the successful candidate will have a knowledge of and an interest in Irish agriculture and issues affecting farmers and their families/ businesses and preferably a track record in reporting and analysis across print and digital platforms.


Based in the Irish Examiner's offices in Cork, this role requires a high degree of flexibility, adaptability and an ability to produce first-class work in an accurate, timely and efficient manner to digital and print deadlines.


Applicants will be asked to demonstrate a high degree of personal initiative, excellent judgement and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team. The role will have a requirement to represent the company at various agricultural events.


Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience of print and digital reporting preferable
• Extensive network of contacts
• In-Depth knowledge of Irish agriculture and issues affecting farmers' affairs
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• Ability to represent the company professionally in various settings
