Campus Residences DAC is a busy, thriving company located in Dublin City University, offering modern student apartments located at the heart of the campus. Campus Residences offers accommodation during the summer months to educational groups and leisure guests that visit Dublin City. The company also operates a conference and events service to all DCU academics and external companies. Campus Residences DAC operates over 3 campuses, DCU Glasnevin, DCU St Patrick's and DCU All Hallows.

Reports to: Deputy Operations Manager / Front Office Manager
Summary of Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to join a team at the Front Desk providing efficient, friendly & professional customer service at all times.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- To undertake front of house duties, including meeting, greeting and attending to the needs of students and guests, to ensure a superb customer service experience.
- Check in/ out guests
- Ensuring all student and guest queries are handled promptly and efficiently
- To assist in dealing with student / guest complaints in an effective and courteous manner, providing or seeking solutions as quickly as possible
- Ensuring all student / guest information is up to date at all times and to keep up to date with on and off campus events, student services, room prices and special offers to provide accurate information to students and guests.
- Ensuring phones are responded to at all times and answered promptly
- Ensuring all guest registration cards and keys are organised on a daily basis
- Maintaining security by following procedures and controlling access (monitoring logbook for student overnight guests, monitor contractor logbook, issue visitor badges)
- To assist with all routes of reservations (eg, online, phone) to ensure that room bookings are made and recorded accurately.
- Performing other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, collating, receiving and sorting daily mail/ deliveries/ couriers, schedule meetings/ appointments etc.
- To report any maintenance, breakage or cleanliness problems to the relevant manager.
- To be responsible for accurate and efficient accounts, guest billing processes and cash handling procedures
- To undertake all training as required (eg, first aid, health and safety, customer service).
- To undertake any other ad-hoc duties relevant to the post as and when required.
- Log tickets for maintenance and follow up in relation to this.
- Exceptional Customer Service skills and telephone manner.
- Outstanding communication skills
- The ability to work unsupervised
- Computer literate.
- Excellent personal presentation.
- Positive and friendly manner maintained at all times.
- Experience in a hotel or general receptionist role favourable.
- Experience using reservation Software would be advantageous.
- Ability to remain calm during difficult situations or in a very busy environment
Contract Date: 29th April until 2nd September ( Flexibility available here)
