Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Health & Safety and Compliance Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the executive leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management across our group of companies.
Additionally, this role will involve managing compliance with existing ISO standards (9001:2015, 14001:2015, 45001:2018), and overseeing upcoming applications, including 27001:2022. While in-depth knowledge of these standards is not mandatory, expertise in HSE and compliance oversight with the reporting and management requirements of the ISO standards is essential.
The role will also entail providing assistance with the ISO 27001:2022 application and future extensions of ISO standards in other group companies. Furthermore, the incumbent will oversee the high standard of HSE data capture and reporting via our EHS software platforms, and separately promote and improve awareness of HSE within the organization. This role oversees and promotes incident capture.
This role will require travel around Ireland and to other business locations Poland, Sweden.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across all company locations in collaboration with on-site responsible resources.
- Monitor and oversee HSE internal audit processes for each site as well as conducting periodic leadership HSE audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Provide guidance and support to management and employees on HSE matters, including training initiatives and awareness programs to promote and improve HSE awareness.
- Oversee incident investigation and reporting processes, providing support to site teams in identifying root causes and implementing corrective/preventive actions as necessary, while monitoring and promoting effective incident capture.
- Manage compliance with ISO standards 9001:2015, 14001:2015, 45001:2018, and upcoming ISO standard 27001:2022, ensuring the required processes are in place at each site to achieve and maintain the standards.
- Lead the preparation and documentation for ISO certification audits, liaising with external auditors as required.
- Oversee the management of Cority and related reporting systems for HSE, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of HSE data and metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in HSE and compliance performance.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices related to HSE and compliance management.
- Work closely with the plc Group reporting function to ensure accurate and timely reporting of HSE and compliance metrics and incorporation of Group requirements to local effort.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a similar role, with a strong background in HSE and compliance management.
- Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001), including experience in implementing and maintaining these standards within an organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, or a related field is desirable.
- Experience managing Cority or similar HSE reporting systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- High standards of compliance and assurance of accountability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in the technology sector or related industries is advantageous.
- The ideal candidate will have Chartered Status in this field.
