About The Role
Job description
A Kitchen Assistant main duties include:
- Carrying out basic cleaning tasks
- Collecting and washing up pots and pans etc
- Ensuring HACCP and cleaning regulations are adhered to at all times.
- Ensuring HACCP reports are completed daily
- Cleaning crockery & cutlery, also ensuring careful handling of delph and crockery to prevent damage and breakages
- Ensuring food preparation sites are clean and in a tidy manner at all times
- Ensuring the storeroom remains organised.
- Ensuring work surfaces, wash up areas, wash hand basins, floors and walls are always clean and sanitised.
- The removal and disposal of waste and recycling from the Kitchen together with the staff rooms to the appropriate and allocated disposal units.
- Ensure waste, recycling bins and disposal units are emptied regularly to prevent “over flowing”
- Ensure waste and recycling are disposed of in the correct manner.
- Ensure the yards located at the Lodge and the Castle are clean and tidy at all times.
- Ensuring all staff rooms are cleaned twice daily and are kept in a clean and tidy manner at all times.
- Ensuring condiments in staff rooms are well stocked at all times.
- All other ancillary duties
