Key Responsibilities:
Diagnosing and Troubleshooting: Car mechanics are responsible for identifying the root cause of vehicle problems by utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment. They conduct thorough inspections, run tests, and analyze symptoms to determine the necessary repairs or maintenance required.
Repairing and Maintaining Vehicles: Once the problem is identified, car mechanics perform the necessary repairs or replacements on components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other mechanical parts. They follow manufacturer guidelines and utilize specialized tools to ensure accurate repairs.
Conducting Regular Maintenance: Car mechanics also play a crucial role in performing routine maintenance tasks to keep vehicles in optimal condition. This includes oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacements, fluid checks, and other preventive measures to prevent potential breakdowns or malfunctions.
