Motor Technician (Mechanic)

Our story began when Joseph Clarke started his working life as an apprentice mechanic with Westbrook Motors in Parnell Street more than 50 years ago. In 1980 Joe got the opportunity to buy the business and with a lot of hard work, pride and passion for people and the motor trade he grew the business until he retired in 2010. From there, his two sons Mark and Damien continued to manage and grow the business transforming it into what it is today. In 2012 we moved to larger premises in Parkgate Street and in 2022 we moved to our new purpose-built premises Dublin 11 where we continue to supply the full range of quality used cars including full Service and Parts facilities for Mitsubishi Motors.

The ideal candidates will have experience in all aspects of vehicle servicing and diagnostics and be capable of producing quality work in a busy fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

Performing work as outlined on the job card with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership standards.
Communicating with parts and service department to obtain needed parts, inform workshop manager if the vehicle is awaiting parts, and pursue special order of parts if necessary.
Diagnosing the cause of any malfunctions and perform a repair after confirming authorization by the Service Manager /advisor
Examining the vehicle and performing vehicle health checks and Video health Checks to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
Notifying service advisors immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
Road-testing vehicles to spot check work performed.
Maintaining a clean and neat workspace and adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €40,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
