Job Title:
Personal Assistant Student Support
12 months Fixed Term Contract, Full-time 36 hours per week
Location:
National Learning Network – Sligo, Co. Sligo

Job Purpose:
To provide individualized supports to persons with physical and/or intellectual disability that enables them to fully
participate in their training, community, work experience or employment. Support includes assistance with
personal care and other support needs during their day.

Minimum Education & Experience required:

• QQI Level 5 Health Care or Social Care Qualification
• Patient Moving and Handing Qualification
• Infection Control Qualification desirable
• Experience of dealing with persons with additional support needs
• Experience in the provision of personal care desirable
• Skills in the care and support of individuals with disabilities
• Skills & knowledge of personal care and implementation of good hygiene and health & safety practices
• Ability to put theory into practise regarding risk assessments
• Disability and mental health awareness
• Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills

Additional requirements

• The successful applicant will provide person centred support for a current member of staff who requires daily assistance.
• As part of our recruitment process, if applicable, candidates will be required to provide a Police certificate from the countries they have resided prior coming to Ireland.

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign.
