Job Description:

Equity Technology is looking for a Principal Cloud Engineer to work as part of the Developer Enablement team responsible for designing holistic Developer Experience (Dev Ex) full-stack solutions, supporting Dev Ops patterns and practices, and standardizing tools and solutions across Equity Technology. We are passionate about understanding the needs of developers across Equity Technology and designing and building creative solutions to meet those needs.

The Expertise and Skills You Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Computer Systems Networking, Information Systems/Science, or a closely related discipline
• Significant hands-on experience working with AWS and cloud services and technologies
• Experience writing application code in any of following: Type Script, Java, Python
• Experience in scripting languages such as Groovy and/or Bash
• Familiarity with, and willingness to learn more about, CI/CD pipelines, supporting infrastructure, system and security configurations, Pipelines as Code, and Infrastructure as Code
• Desire to identify complicated problems and creatively explore solution options, regardless of technology
• Passion to improve the developer experience by making development easier and more efficient
• Eagerness to learn new technologies
• Willingness to practice and promote progressive engineering standards
• Ability to stay current with latest engineering trends and practices and bring them to the team when appropriate
• Knowledge of the SCRUM / Agile development practices and proven collaborative work style
