The Natural Power Construction Team help clients to administer contracts and act as their project interface, supervising construction and managing specifications. We provide specific grid and electrical services as well as offering support in the form of civil and structural services, monitoring, witness testing and snagging inspections. Our engineering team comprises experts in civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental and geotechnical engineering. They are able to make a project run more effectively and act as on-site representatives if required.
We operate in a variety of geographies including Ireland, the UK, wider Europe and Nordic countries, with aspirations to grow and expand our international markets and to develop our services to encompass the broadest range of renewable and low carbon technologies.
The Irish Construction Project Management Team comprises a professional and passionate group of engineers and construction management professionals supporting our clients deliver their renewable energy projects on time, on budget and to the highest quality and safety standards. We operate in a cooperative, supportive and open manner and support all staff in developing to their full potential. Our team provide technical advisory, site supervision and project management services to make sure that projects are planned and constructed in line with necessary requirements.
The successful applicant will: provide construction management services on a consultancy basis supporting client requirements to achieve the required objectives of individual renewables projects; provide management of Assistant Project Managers within this process to achieve the required objectives of the services; and grow, develop and consolidate Natural Power’s pre-construction and construction phase service provision.
Projects include onshore wind, solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and a variety of other associated evolving technologies.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• Undertake pre-planning, pre-construction and construction phase services in connection with Irish, UK, wider European and global renewable developments, providing advice to all parts of the business
• Interacting proactively with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders, demonstrating the ability to manage interfaces of complex and challenging renewable energy projects
• Contract management and providing advice and interpretation on key project contracts including balance of plant (Bo P), turbine supply and EPC contract agreements
• Prepare, review and submit various documentation including but not limited to:
  • Tender documentation
  • Technical documentation
  • Employer’s requirements
  • Contract preparation and management (TSA, EPC, Civil and Electrical Balance of Plant (Bo P))
  • Support clients in obtaining relevant project consents, permits and licences
  • Planning condition discharge
  • Progress reports
• Act as the Engineer in accordance with FIDIC
• Work with key stakeholders (client, planning authorities, statutory environmental authorities, local communities, utilities, TSO/DSO, TAO, etc.) in delivering construction management services
• Administration relating to the projects including management of project budgets, risk registers, contract claims and variations, payment certificates and action plans
• Chair meetings both in person on site and remotely
• Providing competent advice within area of expertise to clients and colleagues across the business
• Ad hoc assessments and tasks associated with project management as directed by the project team
• Identify and assist in undertaking business development activities for the purpose of successfully growing and developing the project management services within the team
