As the roles of Estimator & Project Quantity Surveyor has significant overlap, we are recruiting for a motivated individual to join our team of Estimators & Project Quantity Surveyors. While experience is preferred, relevant training will be provided. Candidates who experience in either of these disciplines will be considered for the position.
Key requirements for Project QS aspect of role:
· Preparation and submission of Monthly Valuations
· Ability to compile project final accounts.
· Some experience working on projects which contain structural steelwork (or knowledge of construction in general is acceptable).
· Knowledge of associated packages such as Intumescent paint, stairs etc. would be beneficial.
Key requirements for Estimator aspect of role:
· Experience in reviewing tender documentation, analysing contract documents and formulating detailed tender bids in a professional manner to tight deadlines.
· Liaising with design team, PQS firm or other to ensure detail and specifications are met.
· Ability to demonstrate leadership to colleagues.
· Knowledge of associated packages such as Intumescent paint, stairs, pc units etc. would be beneficial.
· Experience in reviewing and formulating detailed tender bids in a professional manner to tight deadlines.
The successful candidate will also the following qualities:
· The ability to work within a team, on own initiative and excellent attention to detail.
· Proficient in excel, word etc.
· Excellent negotiator.
· Organisational skills.
· Desire to work in a established company in a long term position – with excellent scope for development.
Salary / benefits are dependent on experience. The position will be based primarily in our works in
Ballybay, Co. Monaghan. Varying levels of experience will be considered with full training to be provided.
