As we continue to expand rapidly, we are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Assistant to join our growing team.

Role overview:
To assist in maintaining a programme of quality assurance activity by ensuring that products manufactured and supplied by the company are safe, legal, and meet or exceed customer expectations. You will support production regarding understanding, implementing, and maintaining good manufacturing practices in the factory in accordance with the company procedures and BRC standards.
To assist in maintaining the company’s BRC accreditation and maintenance of the quality manual.
Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure health and safety, food safety, legal, integrity, quality and environmental obligations are met.
• Training in Technical polices & documents.
• Supplier management and performance review.
• Participate in Food Safety & HACCP teams.
• Ensure that all policies, procedures, and documents set out in the company’s quality manual are adhered to or completed accurately.
• Review and respond to health and safety issues.
• Review & amend policies, procedures & documents as required.
• Reject or place on hold product.
• Release quarantined product.
• Instigate and manage product recall.
• Supplier approval.
• Order Technical supplies where necessary.
• Rectify any Health and Safety issues.

Requirements:

• A third-level degree in Food Science or a related field is advantageous.
• Previous experience in a Quality Assurance role is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and BRC standards.
• Experience with retail and supplier collaboration software such as Zoom and Aldi APP.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
