Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant HSA legislation;
- Ensure compliance with Company health and safety systems / standards and best practices;
- Ensure that all work undertaken in the quarry is risk assessed and safe;
- Ensure that all accidents and incidents are reported, and fully investigated and corrective action taken as necessary;
- Ensuring that the quarry operates in the scope of any planning conditions;
- Supervision of General Operatives within the quarry;
- Labelling of blocks for Production;
- Quality control and stock control of blocks;
- Provide support to the Quarries Manager;
- Conscious of quarry cost management.
Requirements:
- Experience in Quarry operations, and mobile heavy plant operations;
- Good people management skills to lead, guide and motivate quarry General Operatives;
- Awareness of cost control and operation efficiencies;
- Strong knowledge, experience and application of Health and Safety practices;
- Computer skills also required.
