Overview: Pepsi Co Internship Programme is 6-8 month program designed for high potential undergraduate students, just like you, into real life business impact roles – with the goal to best prepare you for a successful future. We are now looking to hire a Quality Intern to join the team in Cork, Ireland starting next year for the duration of 6 months.


Who We are:
  • We are the concentrate team in Pepsi Co (PGCS) working across the Beverage, Nutrition and Snacks categories to deliver concentrate for many of Pepsi Co’s mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up and Pepsi.
  • We are at the heart of Pepsi Co products, sourcing ingredients to manufacture more than 1,200 recipes for our brands.
  • We are a global organisation, situated in 15 locations across 6 countries offering careers in various functions from Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Finance, R&D, HR and IT.
  • We collaborate in our fast-paced global organisation and are passionate about creating and delivering much-loved household brands to markets across the world.
Responsibilities:
  • Comply with Confidentiality Policy.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely analysis and disposition of raw materials and
manufactured products in accordance with Pepsi Co standards and procedures.
  • Become familiar with the material/product portfolio.
  • Registering QC samples in the laboratory management systems accurately.
  • Meticulous attention to sample data entry and preparation.
  • Prepare all production, delivery, and issue samples in a timely manner.
  • Ensure timely and effective issue resolution and communication.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment as required.
  • Maintain all relevant records and samples in an organised system for quick and
effective access to information with a particular focus on traceability.
  • Adhere to safe lab practices and GLP.
  • Organise the replenishment of relevant laboratory supplies.
  • Flexible regarding priority changes.
  • Support the quality analyst with troubleshooting issues.
  • A requirement of this role is that all Pepsi Co Health and Safety requirements are
adhered to.

Qualifications:
Essential Criteria:

Technical

- Currently undertaking a degree in engineering or any science stream (desired - materials, packaging,
chemistry, or food discipline).
  • Knowledge and technical understanding of quality and food safety would be ideal.
  • Capable of planning, executing, and delivering projects within specified time frames.
  • Fluent PC skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.

Personal

  • Good organizational, planning and project management skills.
  • Excellent documentation management skills.
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, able to deal with uncertainty and complexity.
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to influence vertically & horizontally.
  • Good people skills – works well in a team environment.
  • Good analytical skills: ability to analyse technical data and translate information to
solving problems.

What happens after I apply?

  • Suitable profiles are contacted to complete a screening call followed by a more formal interview.
  • You will then be progressed to Pre-Employment compliance checks.
