Team Leader Income Protection Claims

What is the opportunity?
This is an exciting, meaningful and rewarding role and involves working with many internal / external functions. You will work closely with all teams in the Group Risk area and play a key role in supporting our Claims Assessors and Administrators.In this role, you will:
- Mentor team members to meet their full potential in terms of development, productivity and service delivery
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of management information in line with the longer-term planning for the department e.g. forecasting
- Build relationships with both internal and external customers along with the management team
- Develop an in-depth understanding of Income Protection Claims processes and the management of workloads to ensure delivery within agreed service standards along with identification, management and reporting of errors and breaches
- Work with stakeholders to improve processes to achieve efficiencies and reduce operational and compliance risk
What will make you stand out?
You have a minimum of 3 years proven experience in the Financial Services industry and a strong ability to empower and manage a team to achieve set targets within a designated framework. A strong attention to detail as well as excellent problem solving, organisational and decision making skills.You are an energetic self-starter with strong negation and influencing skills along with excellent relationship management. Excellent customer focus with a dedication to delivering a consistently high level of service. You have a flexible approach, a dedication to continuous improvement along with an ability to work as part of a team.

The Income Protection Claims Team assesses and pays all claims arising from the Company's Individual and Group Life Assurance policies. The Income Protection Claims Assessors manage a portfolio of Claims from both our Individual and Corporate Customers.#li-hybrid #ij-hybrid
