Van Driver

Fitz Scientific is a world class monitoring and testing company that meet and exceed customer expectations. Based in Drogheda Co. Louth we are seeking to recruit a Van Driver for our growing and developing field services division.
Main responsibilities include:
· Collect and return samples including, water, food, etc. daily to the laboratory in Drogheda.
· Ensure that sample details are accurately recorded as per requirements.
· Ensure resources and equipment are prepared, calibrated and ready for use.
· Adhere to the highest quality and technical standards at all stages of the process.
· Communicate with customers, ensuring the site-specific protocol requirements are fully understood and are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
· Carry out van stock checks as required.
· Report faulty or damaged equipment and arrange its repair.
· Document on site data using handheld device.
· Input sample details correctly and clearly in the system used.
· Complete risk assessments and site-specific protocol.
· Comply with all Health and Safety requirements including the Rules of the Road Safety.
· Conduct vehicle checks ensuring the vehicle is safe to drive.
Requirements
Full clean B driving licence with 0 penalty points.
2 - 3 years experience in a similar role.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills and act with integrity.
Good PC skills.
Fluent spoken and written English.
Working hours Mon – Friday 7.30am – 4.00pm (37.5-hour week)
Full training provided.
Appointment to this role is subject to the candidate’s eligibility to work in Ireland.

Pay: From €27,300.00 per year
