About the role
Within the purchasing team based in the headquarters in Bologna, you will be in charge of developing a purchasing strategy to establish long-term relationships with international suppliers of direct material serving the businesses of the Group.
The role requires understanding the internal needs by partnering with the business units and completing long-term frame agreements with the vendors to be applied across Coesia, collaborating with Group R&D, and developing category management strategies.

About the role
Within the purchasing team based in the headquarters in Bologna, you will be in charge of developing a purchasing strategy to establish long-term relationships with international suppliers of direct material serving the businesses of the Group.
The role requires understanding the internal needs by partnering with the business units and completing long-term frame agreements with the vendors to be applied across Coesia, collaborating with Group R&D, and developing category management strategies.
Particularly, you will be responsible for:
- Identifying the strategic sourcing guidelines according to Company needs, developing purchasing strategies, defining the Cost Management Plan, and the target values according to strategic purposes, analysing purchasing performances, and defining a corrective action plan;
- Developing the standard purchasing methods, processes, and rules; supporting the identification of the planning & control tools and methods supporting their implementation;
- Defining and collecting medium/long term requirements, defining the purchasing plan of the Category, developing purchasing budget per category/region, verifying the deviation trend analysis results, and approving suggested corrective actions;
- For centralised Category, collecting technical requirements for new and current products, identifying supplier rationalisation opportunities, and new potential supply sources, analysing supplier financial/quality status, developing purchasing category strategy, source list and plan, approving co-design agreement for parts, negotiating supply conditions and verify sourcing volumes.
What you need to be successful
- Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation);
- Previous experience in the role for 3-6 years. An understanding of mechanical components will represent a plus;
- Fluency in English (B2/C1);
- Knowledge of SAP and Office Package;
- Good relational skills such as communication and negotiation;
- Operational flexibility, goal orientation and problem solving skills;
- Autonomy and proactivity.
