Job Description
AECOM Italia, is seeking a dynamic and experienced ESG & Climate Change Consultant to join our EHS&Sustainability team, which is facing the challenges of climate change and decarbonization. The candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing our clients' sustainability initiatives, managing climate-related projects, and spearheading decarbonization strategies. The appointed person will be expected to have a key role in the team, with the following responsibilities:

Job Description
AECOM Italia, is seeking a dynamic and experienced ESG & Climate Change Consultant to join our EHS&Sustainability team, which is facing the challenges of climate change and decarbonization. The candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing our clients' sustainability initiatives, managing climate-related projects, and spearheading decarbonization strategies. The appointed person will be expected to have a key role in the team, with the following responsibilities:
- Conduct ESG assessments;
- Implement climate change risk assessments;
- Develop full-scale assessments for energy, emission trading systems (ETS), GHG, and decarbonization;
- Manage and analyze data to produce relevant reports on energy assessment, climate performance, and resilience assessments;
- Lead the development and execution of climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies, achievement of carbon neutrality, with a focus on energy-related initiatives;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate ESG considerations, energy, and ETS principles into clients' business operations;
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to sustainability, with thorough knowledge in energy, emission trading, and ESG principles.
- Appropriate Master’s Degree in Environmental/Energy/ Climate Change Engineering or other related discipline;
- Post-graduate study in sustainability matters and climate-energy transition will be considered as a plus;
- Fluent in Italian and English;
- At least 4 years of experience in ESG, sustainability or decarbonization climate change, and decarbonization advisory;
- Qualifications such as Energy Manager (EGE), Auditor ISO 14064, or equivalent are will be considered as a plus;
- Understanding of relevant frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD) and reporting standards;
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead and coordinate diverse client teams;
- Strong analytical and communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information clearly;
- To be familiar with relevant software and tools for data analysis and reporting, with a focus on energy-related applications;
- Licensed to drive in Italy (Patente B)
