Duties
The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the facility.

Maintains various suspense files, regulations, directives, inventory control files and posting changes as required.

Assists in compiling correspondences, reports, forms, and other related material.

Prepares various reports and other statistical and financial data pertaining to the activity.

Provides information regarding operations to the manager.

Answers telephone, receives visitors, provides requested information, pick up and distribute office mail and correspondence.

Performs cash management and accountability duties.

Completes appropriate NAF reports summarizing previous business transactions, and deposits daily cash receipts.

Maintains time and attendance cards/records.

Preforms other duties as required.

The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is US Citizens or NATO country citizens with a valid US permanent resident card and Social Security Number.In accordance with the Status of Forces agreement between Italy and the US, you must be at Aviano AB on orders and be a US citizen or citizen of a NATO country with a US permanent resident card. Italian citizens may not apply for US NAF positions; however, may be eligible for local national positions on base. Must be able to provide documentation proving residence status overseas. Legal US residents must possess a social security number and be citizens of a NATO country.

The 31ST Force Support Squadron is not currently providing logistical support. Applicants must provide proper documentation indicating they are already a supported member of Aviano AB.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:

Applicant must have experience in responsible clerical or office work in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position.

General knowledge in Microsoft Office business software programs.

Experience which has demonstrated arithmetic aptitude and ability, accuracy and attention to detail.

Progressively responsible experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody, or other processing of cash and cash items.

Typing skill is desirable.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
Additional information

  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • All Federal NAF employees are required by PL 104-134 to have salary payments made by electronic funds transfer/direct deposit.
  • Probationary period may be required.
  • Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from hiring preferences and priority consideration eligible.
