Product Compliance Specialist

JOB PURPOSE
We are actively seeking a dedicated Product Compliance Specialist to become a key member of our Industrial Sustainability Department. The main objective of this role is to oversee and ensure the strict compliance of our product lines, including raw materials and finished products, with both international regulatory standards and Prada Group's internal sustainability requirements. This pivotal position not only champions compliance but also upholds our commitment to quality and environmental responsibility, spanning across our diverse product ranges such as leather goods, footwear, ready-to-wear, accessories, and home collections. The role demands a proactive approach in coordinating with internal stakeholders, as well as external analysis laboratories to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducting regular research and analysis on international regulations to identify any new compliance constraints for the import and commercialization of products.
- Ensuring the compliance of raw materials and finished products with international regulations and Prada Group's internal standards, while effectively managing external analysis laboratories.
- Maintaining oversight of analysis laboratories, including the evaluation of reports and managing samples for testing.
- Conducting regular supervisory checks to ensure adherence to established analysis protocols and consistent monitoring of the supply chain for compliance verification.
- Providing support to internal teams in understanding and applying compliance protocols, assisting with any technical or methodological queries.
- Collaborating effectively with departments such as Leather Goods, Footwear, RTW, and Home, as well as liaising with other companies within the Group to synchronize activities and standardize documentation.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Educational background Master degree in chemistry, engineering, natural science, or similar
A minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience in product compliance, preferably in Leather Goods, Footwear, RTW, Accessories, or Home Collection sectors.
Good understanding of product development processes.
Strong attitude in managing complex regulatory frameworks in a fast pacing production company
Ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Keen attention to detail coupled with the capability to manage and prioritize multiple, simultaneous tasks and demands.
A flexible, collaborative mindset and a readiness to adapt to changing requirements.
Proficiency in English language, both in verbal and written communication.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Power Point.
Location: Based in Tuscany, this role requires occasional travel.
