JOB PURPOSE

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Source and develop a range of Raw Materials for the Outerwear category
• Responsible for quality and risk assessment to ensure components in Outerwear meet stringent performance requirements
• Conduct through testing and analysis of materials to ensure compliance within industry regulations and Company specifications
• Troubleshoot and resolve any material-related issues that arises during production
• Review colour approvals for first lot and bulk production to Suppliers
• Share Raw Material technical re-development directions to Suppliers
• Develop a working Knowledge of capabilities and capacities, of Raw Material Suppliers in the matrix
• Continue to build collaborative partnerships with suppliers, ensuring timely 2 way communication to accomplish material development tasks
• Hold Business Partners accountable to Raw Materials performance standards, processes and expectations;
• Identify opportunities for on boarding, training and elevation of Suppliers
• Mitigate Product risk by assessing compatibility within Bill of Materials

PERSONAL PROFILE

• BSc/MSc in Materials/Textiles
• Experience working on technical raw material product, preferably from a recognized sports or outerwear brand
• Technical knowledge in development of fabrics, particularly in the construction, finishing and dyeing processes of fabrics
• Data management experience i.e. Excel/PLM/Texbase, or similar
• Experience with sourcing and developing fabrics for multi products from idea through to production ready
• Highly organized
• Fluent in English and Italian
