Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our finance and accounting team. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will play a critical role in driving the financial strategy, managing risk, and ensuring the organization's financial health and sustainability. The role will have a direct report to the president and be pivotal in all the decision making for the joint venture in Japan.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with the overall business objectives, partnering with the local CEO
• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost reduction
• Manage the capital structure, cash flow, and investment strategies
• Provide financial leadership and guidance to support strategic decision-making
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial best practices
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and financial institutions
• Lead and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
• Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior finance leadership role
• Strong understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and financial analysis
• Excellent leadership and strategic planning skills
• Proficiency in financial software and tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Office, and SAP
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment
• Fluency in English and Native level Japanese

Day-to-day

• Collaborate with the executive team to align financial strategy with overall company goals
• Review and analyze financial reports to assess the company's financial performance
• Meet with department heads to discuss budgeting and financial matters
• Stay abreast of regulatory changes and develop strategies to ensure compliance
• Lead and support the finance and accounting team in day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives
