About the department
You will join the Cardiometabolic Marketing division, future pipeline group at Novo Nordisk. Our department is dedicated to driving the commercial strategy for our cardiometabolic portfolio. You will join the Cardiometabolic Marketing division, future pipeline group at Novo Nordisk. Our department is dedicated to driving the commercial strategy for our cardiometabolic portfolio. We are a collaborative and dynamic team based in Japan, committed to making a difference in the lives of patients. The position
As the future pipeline manager, you will support the development of NNPL commercial portfolio strategy (excluding insulin) in the Cardiometabolic therapeutic area, with a focus on maximizing patient reach and enhancing NN's value with senior future pipeline managers and director in the group. You will assist in critical path definition to maximize portfolio value and establish the best indication and positioning for each product (including Wegovy, Semaglutide MASH, and upcoming GLP-1 related products). You will work closely with future pipeline team members (project managers) by contributing to project management work, proactively providing ideas for the discussion, and collaborating across functions for efficient project execution. In addition, you need to collaborate with internal stakeholders to contribute to efficient project management based on project priority, urgency, and stakeholder considerations.

Other key tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in the prioritization of NNPL portfolio based on identified whitespace in the Japanese patient population and align with medical needs and current/future pipelines.
- Assist in the analysis of competitors' strategies based on portfolio and pipeline assessments.
- Assist in the understanding of the patient journey and treatment needs based on disease progression and contribute to ensuring a well-balanced role for each product within the entire NNPL Cardio-metabolic portfolio.
- Provide support in considering patent expiration (Lo E) to ensure sustainable business.
- Assist in identifying business opportunities for sustainable commercialization through cross-functional collaboration, e.g., Lifecycle Management (LCM) with indication and pricing implications.
Qualification
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or relevant field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the pharma industry is required with successful track record of: understanding of the product profile, market understanding and business analysis, competitive intelligence and needs based segmentation and business acumen or solid new product launch experience in consulting or research company.
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication is crucial for seamless interaction with the team and reporting to superiors.
- Teamwork: Collaboration with multiple departments and effective teamwork are essential for success in this role.
- Business level in English and Japanese (minimum N2 level) is required.
