The Head of Risk & Analytics (R&A) - Corporate Risk & Broking is responsible for the overall operational and financial efficiency of the delivery of Risk & Analytics services to prospects and clients across WTW’s Japan network. Responsible for directing the Global and Regional R&A resources including Core Analytics, Risk Engineering, Strategic Risk Consulting (SRC), Forensic Accounting & Complex Claims (FACC) and Alternative Risk Transfer (ART), and liaising with the regional resources of Corporate Risk and Broking. Key responsibility would include:

• Embedding the analytical broker value proposition and promoting the adoption of the analytics tools in both the existing client base and prospective clients
• Introduce and support Client Facing Technology and core model usage.
• Organize and facilitate the Training and Education program for Japan team as required.
• Coordinate the sales of fee generating services.
• Organize and execute marketing / client events.
Appointed as specialist R&A consulting resource to provide risk services as required

Responsibilities:
Sales and Leadership

• Defining and articulating the R&A value proposition by industry and Line of Business.
• Participating in sales activity (Client/Marketing events, Joint Account Planning, Sales Campaigns) for CRB and Consulting Practices and maintain pipeline information.
• Tracking and reporting on financial targets for in conjunction with Finance
• Participating in strategic prospect planning and objective setting for Japan CRB
• Implementing agreed strategy

Technical

• Project manages and delivers bespoke solutions to multiple clients on wide ranging risk issues and acts as specialist R&A consulting resource to provide risk services including, but not be limited to, the following:

• Significantly supports production and selling efforts through application of technical expertise
• Develops own prospects through technical expertise and networks and supports business pipeline & cross-selling
• Arrange and execute risk service engagements with clients by liaising internally with account teams and externally with clients and insurance company representatives, as necessary;
• Ensure that all risk consulting reports, including those prepared by direct reporting individuals, and other deliverables are prepared to accepted quality standards and ready in a timely manner;
• Represents WTW professionally on business trips and meetings whilst raising WTW’s profile across Japan.
• Recognized as a source of R&A expertise across geography, industry and Line of Business teams
• Ensures adherence to compliance and regulatory procedures
• Service/Financial tasks
• Maintain and improve WTW R&A client service levels ensuring standards and performance are consistent with agreed levels.
• Monitor performance of agreed deliverables against performance indicators and take appropriate action.
• Prepare and collate work plans and forecasts with close liaison with account teams across Japan
• Measure, monitor, review and report plans, identifying trends and variances.

.The Requirements

• Comfortable in operating with a growth orientated agenda and KPI’s.
• Strong client networks and industry centers of influence.
• Ability to diagnose complex client issues, comprehend the full breadth of WTW’s services, blend them into practical solutions that meet our clients’ needs, and articulate them to C-Suite buyers across multiple disciplines.
• Ability to successfully direct multiple projects and ensure quality deliverables on time and within budget.
• Preferable with prior training and/or experience in Risk Engineering with specific technical expertise
• Self-starter, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively relate to individuals at all levels – from site technicians up to company CEOs
• Proven ability to write detailed reports of a varied technical nature in both English and local language
• Prior experience of carrying out property risk surveys
• Working knowledge of fire protection and detection systems
