The mission of Japan DC Planner is to lead and oversee the efficient planning, coordination of DC handling materials, and execution of the prepacking and kitting assembly processes. This role is to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs. The role is also to mainly adjust the most appropriate capacity and stock levels between Customer Centre, Product Company and DC members and to support Customer Centre demands.
The role main objective is to position inventory and capacity in the supply chain so that customer orders can be met within a market competitive lead time. This involves setting stock objectives, planning production, monitoring the projected stock levels in each plant, and adjusting the production and replenishment plans as appropriate to best meet the demands of end-customers and internal customers. In addition, the role will handle requests to improve delivery and deliver consistent world class customer service.
The role coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within and between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer service expectations. Duties include reviewing and scheduling production requirements, raising and maintaining production jobs, defining shipment schedules, and conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work, completion dates and inventory levels, and solving production problems.
