What will be your mission?
As an ESG Legal Senior in the Climate Change and Sustainability services department, you will be part of a team working on upcoming new European regulations such as CSRD with exposure to prestigious audit clients from the different industries. Being part of the assurance team means participating to the mission of protecting the public interest by contributing to providing independent view over companies’ compliance with sustainability regulations. We are looking for a variety of competencies to tackle Environmental, Social and Governance nowadays challenges.

You will:

Support with an engineering focus the team in performing annual sustainability assurance for EY’s prestigious clients in compliance with EU regulations on sustainability
Perform regulatory compliance check and learn to challenge client’s view (CSRD, EU Taxonomy, ESRS, SFDR, etc.)
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of sustainability matter and concepts to apply them to client situations
Lead, coordinate and develop a team of Assistants
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and assess clients' satisfaction
Coordinate on-site fieldwork at clients including liaising with other departments to ensure the smooth delivery of the assurance process
Actively contribute to other sustainable finance projects assurance based on market needs and developments with a engineering focus

An effective communicator with writing skills and an ability to translate recommendations and ideas effectively in reports, presentation materials, client proposals

The earlier you apply, the best chance you will have to join if:

You hold or are on the way to obtain a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Law with a major in Sustainability/Environmental Law or equivalent certification
You have 2-4 years of experience in sustainability matters (CSRD considered as an advantage) and wish to pursue your career in this field
You have previous big4 experience, it will be considered as an advantage
You are fluent in one of these languages: English, French, German, Luxembourgish
