About the role:
Key Responsibilities:
-
provide support to develop, implement and maintain comprehensive financial crime compliance policies, procedures and controls in line with local and international regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

support the regular review and update of the risk assessment framework as well as conduct the annual risk assessments to identify, assess and mitigate financial crime risks within the company’s operations.

contribute to the development and delivery of financial crime compliance training programs for employees at all levels, ensuring a high level of awareness and understanding of compliance obligations and company policies.

ensure that all financial crime training modules remain current and effective.

draft, where necessary, and circulate Compliance newsletters and bulletins on financial crime issues.

promote a culture of compliance by raising awareness of compliance and regulatory matters and ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

provide input to compliance reports to senior management.

stay informed of regulatory developments, assist with impact assessments as necessary and ensure the company’s financial crime compliance framework is up to date.

identify opportunities for enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the financial crime compliance program.

provide support to the TME Head of Legal & Compliance, who is the AMLRO and Compliance Key Function Holder for TME, in the implementation of the AML Framework of TME and its branches, including engaging with internal and external audit on AML, providing TME advisory support (e.g. High-Risk customers’ approvals, administration of the AML tool) and FIU/Ministry of Finance disclosures.

Support the HCCI and TME Financial Crime Compliance Teams on other matters where time allows, such as regulatory returns; regulatory relationships; business queries; compliance projects and other work of the Financial Crime Compliance team as per the HCCI and TME Compliance Plan.
Skills And Competencies Required:
-
Financial Crime Compliance Officer with a minimum of 3 years working in the non-life or non-retail Insurance industry.

Good knowledge of financial crime compliance regulations and related risk management practices and their application within the insurance industry in Europe, particularly EU Financial Crime Compliance regimes ; Luxembourg’s and France’s Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism legislation and regulations, including CAA/ACPR escalations and reporting requirements ; European Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Directives.

Experience in delivering good outcomes as per financial crime compliance programs, conducting risk assessment and delivering training.

Able to demonstrate successful collaboration in a cross-matrix reporting structure to support European and non-European markets.

Competent Excel, Word and Share Point user.

Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.

Strong organizational skills, capable of working to deadlines, and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.

Fluent in English and French (verbal and written).
Skills And Competencies Preferred:

Good technical knowledge of the UK and US Financial Crime Compliance regulations and regimes.

Experience on licensing rules and management.
