AML & Regulatory Department
Your role



This is an exciting opportunity to join our Luxembourg Branch in the AML & Regulatory Team.
Handelsbanken Luxembourg started its activities in 1978 and is part of Handelsbanken Global Banking. We support the Bank’s customers in the focus markets with their international business. The Branch core business is Private banking (discretionary and execution-only services) and mortgage lending in Spain, Portugal and France.
The position reports directly in to the Head of AML and Regulatory Management of the Luxembourg Branch.
This opening offers the future holder the opportunity to take an active part in shaping the evolution of the role and related activities and to act fist hand as Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) Officer. We foresee the following key sets of responsibilities:

AML, CFT related activities:

• Organisation and contribution to governance (including escalation processes and customer committees),
• Be first line internal control/quality assurance,
• Report Internally/externally on various periodical qualitative and quantitative KRI(key risk indicator),
• Take part to FCP intelligence gathering,
• Define the business-wide risk assessment,
• Reivew customer on-boarding
• Investigate PEP and RCA,
• Participate and improve the transaction Monitoring (i.e. typology and behavioural based monitoring),
• Investigate alerts from transaction monitoring and internal reporting,
• Report and escalate (SARs) and other contacts with the local FIU and other law enforcement authorities and tax authorities with head of compliance,

Organizational activities

• Knowledge of project management techniques,
• Having experience in change management,
• IT and organization affinities.
• Coordination/development of training awareness raising measures

Requirements
The ideal candidate must be fluent in English and French, Swedish is an asset . The role requires a delicate mix between a rigorous and creative mindset to handle day to day activities and actively contribute to change.
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Luxembourg and International AML/TF regulatory framework
• Strong knowledge of financial/banking products and services
• Advanced MS Office skills and open to learn new technologies
• Be able to read regulatory material and transpose them into internal procedures
• Work independently, self-learning
• Communication and presentation skills
• Manage priorities
• 5 years experience in related area
• Fluent in English and French, Swedish or a Scandinavian language is an asset
